Step 1 of Needleless Acupuncture/The Analysis
Acugraph is an electro meridian imaging system that is a modern and effective diagnostic instrument that eliminates any guesswork in acupuncture diagnosis. The acugraph is a reproducible test that can demonstrate and show the energy patterns in the body. Armed with this type of technology, Dr. Kettering is able to make better-informed decisions about about patients conditions, and therefore able to provide the best treatment possible.
Here’s How the AcuGraph Works:
- The Acugraph is a computer system that guides me through a simple assessment of your meridians. We test the "source points" on the wrists and feet. The source points are the most active points on the meridian which correlate to the 12 meridians of the body. The test only takes a few minutes. The procedure is completely pain free and consists of a small moist cotton probe that’s used to collect the electrical readings from the source points.

As soon as the assessment is finished the results will display on the screen. The graphs are visual representations that are easy to understand, and will display deficiencies, as well as excesses found in your meridians; and will also show any imbalances that need to be included in the your treatment. The analysis also shows imbalances between the upper and lower part of your body as well as the left and right sides of the body. The analysis will show which acupuncture points and auricular points (ear points) are indicated. The test also shows which spinal vertebral levels may be misaligned.

There are nine different graph styles included in the analysis but everything is summarized in one Personal Integrated Energetics (P.I.E.) score or a P.I.E. chart that can be readily understood.
The Bottom Line: As your health improves, your numbers improve.
Inside your P.I.E. chart, each wedge of the circle represents one Meridian pathway in your body. Those shown in green are balanced and functioning properly. Colors that do not extend to the edge of the circle identify and classify energy imbalances. Your P.I.E score includes a complete analysis of all your meridian pathways and reflects the overall health of your meridian energy system. A perfect score of 100 reflects complete balance and unimpeded flow of your Chi energy. A lower score means there are various imbalances that we should address.
Step 2 of Needle-Less Acupuncture / The Treatment
Now that we’ve collected our data, and analyzed the results, the exam is complete. It’s now time for treatment.
Modern acupuncture incorporates the use of lasers (known as laser needle) and electrical stimulation of the acupuncture points instead of needles. Traditional Chinese theory explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as qi or chi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body.
